Life update, 2020 project, and a weekend escape

HEY GUYS….I’M BACK! Wow it has been a year since I’ve written a blog post…sorry it took so long to get back on here and write. I think one major struggle facing bloggers and social media in general is that blogs today are slowly losing their engagement. I think all bloggers can relate that lots of time and energy goes into writing and creating blog content. I’m currently at a social media conference in Orlando and I’m learning about the current and future trends of social and how everything is changing in terms of engagement, influencer marketing, etc. If you are reading this, I truly appreciate you taking the time to check out my blog. Life got a little busy, but here we are! I hope that  blogs are still relevant as I do like using this site as an outlet to continue to showcase my personal journeys. You can see more content on my Insta @itsryanleech

On another note, I’m very excited for 2020 in particular. I am working on a couple special projects that are slowly coming into development. It has been a goal and passion of mine for a while. I will be sharing the news in early 2020. For some of you who follow me on Insta, I have let you in on a sneak peak. Yes, it may look unclear as to what I have planned but I am very excited to work on this project that will launch a new extension of my brand, beyond just fashion and travel. DAILY RY is not going anywhere and I hope to do a lot more with this platform. With that said, here is my latest post below!

Weekend Escape: THERMEA

After living in Winnipeg for six years, I finally had my first Thermea experience which is crazy it took so long to check it out. Thermea is a relaxation and healing centre mainly focused on thermotherapy and relaxation techniques from Scandinavian countries. It offers a multisensory experience in a surrounding natural setting and is aimed at contributing to your health and well-being. Those who are visiting Winnipeg this is a must-see and a great way to unwind and relax. I went with my very good friend Camila who was gracious enough to take all the photos shown here. To start off our experience, we took in the Thermal experience which allows you to discover four outdoor baths. The surrounding landscape and outdoor air is a perfect combination that allows you to take it all in.

BELOW: cebër is the icy waterfall which is 10°C. It flows between the Finlandia and Barik saunas. Walk under the waterfall or simply submerge yourself in the pool beside it: Polabër.

BELOW: One of my fav areas is Barik. This sauna is made entirely of cedar and can hold up to eight people. This traditional Nordic dry sauna creates an enveloping heat that is felt more intensely than the other saunas. When you enter you feel as though you were sheltered from the rest of the world and a great place to unplug.

BELOW: FLAM is resting area to cozy up by the fireside with friends and strangers alike. This area is a unique spot as you look into the open sky and see snowflakes slowly fall onto your skin. It is the perfect area to close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the crackling fire.

Overall my experience was one to remember and it was a realization that it is important to unplug and take time for self care especially if you have a busy schedule.

Special thanks to the staff and marketing team at Thermea for the great hospitality and for making my first visit so memorable. I will be going back very soon. I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know what other content you would like to see.

until next time,

Ry xoxo
