SAFECATION OUT WEST: THINGS TO DO IN BANFF/JASPER #PursuitLife

Hi everyone! This year, we have seen lots of change and we continue to endure significant obstacles and challenges. However, our PURSUIT is to keeping looking ahead to brighter days. With travel restrictions still in place throughout the world, I took a much needed safecation out West (side note: within Manitoba we are able to travel West without quarantining upon return) with my dad to appreciate spending time with him and exploring the beauty of Canada. During my time in Banff, I teamed up with @pursuitbanffjasper to showcase some amazing attractions you must see when visiting Banff and Jasper. Let’s go!

STOP #1: Banff Gondola

Just five minutes from the Town of Banff is where you will find @banffgondola. It is a 8-minute journey to the summit of Sulphur Mountain where stunning views of six mountain ranges await. We arrived early morning and the staff were all very welcoming and ensured the safety of their visitors was top priority. Social distancing and sanitation protocols are in place, guaranteeing your experience is safe and memorable. Once at the top, there is a beautiful restaurant, Sky Bistro along with a coffee shop, gift shop, and interpretive centre to learn more about the history of Banff and its wildlife! Banff Gondola is a must see and if you do not have much time I would recommend doing this one for sure! BOOK NOW AT http://www.banffgondola.com

STOP #2: Lake Minnewanka Cruise

Next stop was climbing aboard the Lake Minnewanka Cruise which is Banff’s largest lake. Here you will enjoy a 1-hour cruise along the lake listening to the rich history and tales of a once lake monster that lurked the waters. While enjoying the fresh air and looking for wildlife, the captains provide informative and entertaining commentary throughout the journey about geology, animals, park policy and native involvement in and around the lake area. Special shoutout to both Will and Sam (picture above) from Pursuit for doing a great job at making my cruise experience one to remember!

STOP #3: Open Top Touring

If your trip to Banff is short but you want to see some attractions, then this is the one for you! Hop on the latest attraction, Open Tour Touring to experience the people, places and moments that have made Banff into what it is today. During the 90-minute ride, expect rich characters, fascinating stories, gorgeous views and photo opportunities at every turn. It’s the perfect way to see Banff. Book now at http://www.opentoptouring.com

STOP #4: Columbia Icefield Skywalk – in Jasper

Ready to walk on air? The last attraction worth the trip to Jasper National Park is the Columbia Icefield Skywalk which is roughly an hour drive from Banff. Step onto a cliff-edge glass walkway as you experience beautiful mountain ranges, waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more where glass is all that separates you from a 918-foot (280 m) drop. While you walk, listen to an interpretive storytelling format that will connect you to the natural world in a deep and meaningful way.

Special thank you to Michelle Gaudet and everyone at Pursuit Collection for making my stay in Banff so memorable. For more information and to book these attractions you can visit https://www.banffjaspercollection.com
