NEW POST: A doctor in the family, a road trip, and new Insta worthy hot spots!

Hey guys, feels good to be back writing and sharing some content with you all! Just reached 10k so thank you for all your support! Bit of a life update, I finally graduated with my Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree which is the best feeling ever! I also recently started a full time position as Marketing Coordinator for Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo. I’m super excited for this summer and working. I leave for Montreal next week so stay tuned for updates!

I recently visited Arizona for my sister’s graduation ceremony who’s an optometrist now! Yay Dr. Leech!! I had the best week visiting with family and hitting up some hot spots, new and old. One of my fav things to do in Arizona is hiking. There are so many different places to hike in the Phoenix area. Just make sure you go early in the morning as the temperature gets to +35 everyday and the sun burning down on you is intense. The highlight of the trip was taking a drive to Page, Arizona to visit Horseshoe Bend and Lower Antelope Canyon (featured in National Geographic). If you ever get the chance to visit, this is a must see!

Spending time with family is always the best! It brought back memories of road trips we would take when I was younger. I enjoy travelling with my parents and seeing new attractions. My mom might have a slight obsession with going to ROSS but by the end I too was into it. So many good deals down in the States! Of course I was able to find some wall inspiration as well.

One of my other fav spots is strolling around Scottsdale which has lots of cute shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s a mix of old and new, with a western vibe. Some places definitely worth the visit include Sprinkles ATM, Hotel Adeline, The Saguaro, Diego Pops, and Sugar Bowl.

No trip to Phoenix is complete without a stop to In-n-Out Burger…obviously it’s delicious and so cheap!! The Henry is also a major hot spot for the locals and tourists. Some new spots that have recently opened up include Teaspressa and Pop-n-Tea Bar. These two places are so Insta worthy, you will need to post some pics..I sure did!!

Lastly, I want to say how proud I am of my sister, Morgan for graduating from Midwestern University School of Optometry! She worked so hard and she inspires me every day! From Skype calls to messaging we make it work being away from each other. I can’t wait to come visit more now that we are both done school.
